Danica Worrall is a ceramic artist living and working in Nanaimo BC on Vancouver Island. Originally a local to the central Okanagan her first introduction to clay was in highschool but it was her passion for photography that brought her to Vancouver Island for the first time. Studying photography at North Island College she was drawn to capturing life through textures and light. It became clear that only capturing left something to be desired for her, she wanted to create and build the texture and motion. After taking her first wheel course at a community centre in Kelowna she went on to study ceramics at the Kootenay Studio Arts school in Nelson BC. After completing the course Danica then apprenticed with Cathi Jefferson in the Cowichan Valley, and finally was an artist in residence at Nanaimo Ceramic Arts (2022)
