Hello everyone! My name is Dannielle and I am an accidental bag maker. What started as a simple hobby of sewing and experimenting with different fabrics and designs, has now turned into a passion and a business for me. I never imagined that my love for creating things with my hands would lead me to become a bag maker, but here I am, loving every moment of it.
It all started innocently enough, with me just playing around with sewing and fabric. But then something clicked. I found myself getting more and more dedicated to perfecting my craft. It was like a puzzle that I couldn’t stop solving. I became obsessed with the intricate details, the creative process, and the sheer joy of turning a plain piece of fabric or leather into something amazing.
When it comes to the art of bag making, it’s all about stitching your way to perfection. Every stitch counts, and let me tell you, I’ve become dedicated to making sure each one is just right. I pay attention to the tiniest details, because that’s what sets my bags apart from the rest. It’s a creative process that allows me to let my imagination run wild. And the best part? It’s just so much fun! Who knew that playing with materials and thread could bring so much joy? Stitch by stitch, I’m turning my passion into a masterpiece, one bag at a time.

Re/TOTE

Re/TOTE is a fusion of creative expression, love for up cycling, and a keen appreciation for a great handbag. Re/TOTE bags are almost entirely made of repurposed materials sourced on Vancouver Island, including salvaged (just before landfill) furniture leathers, thrift store linens, hardware, and leather belts. Personally designed each Re/TOTE is uniquely one of a kind. I am excited to encourage my audience to make beautiful fashion choices and reduce our environmental impacts. I was inspired by London fashion and proudly make Re/TOTE in Lantzville, BC on Vancouver Island.
