partner up, give back

Out of Hand is proud to be a part of vibrant downtown Victoria.  Each year we draw thousands of holiday shoppers to the downtown core to enjoy the beautiful glittering streets that accompany the holiday season. 60% of the people who attend the fair go on to shop or dine in downtown Victoria!

Once again, the Victoria chapter of Grandmothers for Africa will offer a coat and parcel check for you, our visitors, and "mind the shop" so our exhbitors can take a break. Victoria Grandmothers for Africa, a local group of 150+ grandmothers and grand-others, work to raise funds and awareness for the Stephen Lewis Foundation and its Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. This campaign supports African grandmothers who care for their AIDS-orphaned grandchildren. We are pleased to offer them this opportunity to raise funds for such a worthy cause. Please stop by the coat check on your way into the show, and if you find that you're becoming burdened with packages, they will take care of them for you while you wander around the show. In 2011, Victoria Grandmothers for Africa raised over $120,000 for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. And since the group's inception n 2006, they have raised over $470,000.

It’s important to support small and local businesses, and Out of Hand provides the perfect opportunity to do just that.  Meet the person behind the masterpiece, and find gifts you and your loved ones will really connect with. Come and join us this year and help us give back to the community we are so proud to be a part of.
